A gaming console is an interactive videogame that has television or computer as its display device. Its history dates back to 1970s, when Magnavox Odyssey was introduced in 1972. The Nintendo DSi is the new gaming system from Nintendo stable. It was released in Japan on October 2, 2008 in Tokyo. It will be released throughout the world in second half of 2009. More than 170000 units of DSi were sold within first two days of sale in Japan and more than half a million units were sold in Japan within one month of sale.,

The Nintendo DSi can be connected to an online store and using Nintendo Points will help in downloading DSiWare applications and games to the SD card or internal memory of DSi system of the user. The Wii gaming system is an innovative home video game console from Nintendo. It is a seventh-generation console and has Wii Remote, which is a handheld pointing device that detects movement and wireless controller. Another unique feature of Wii is WiiConnect24.
